El narcosubmarino más grande en la historia de Colombia, de 30 metros de largo y tres de ancho, fue decomisado en el Océano Pacífico con tres toneladas de cocaína, informó la Armada colombiana.
¿Dónde se dirigía el narcosubmarino?
El semisumergible fue detenido el martes cuando iba rumbo a Centroamérica, una de las rutas más utilizadas para el tráfico ilegal hacia Estados Unidos, el principal consumidor mundial de la cocaína colombiana.
Imágenes compartidas por las autoridades muestran una embarcación oscura en tierra firme, rodeada de centenares de paquetes de narcóticos camuflados con etiquetas de Toyota y, en el medio, tres hombres capturados.
Se trata del semisumergible de mayores dimensiones identificado desde que se tienen registros (1993) en el mayor productor de cocaína en el mundo. En tres décadas la Armada ha incautado 228 naves de este tipo, que salen cargados con toneladas de droga desde el Océano Pacífico hacia Estados Unidos o incluso cruzan el Atlántico hasta llegar a Europa.
Detienen a tres sujetos
De nacionalidad colombiana, los tripulantes detenidos aseguraron haber sido “obligados por una organización narcotraficante para embarcarse y llevar el semisumergible con el alcaloide hasta Centroamérica”, de acuerdo al boletín.
